Change Microsoft Word 2007 paper size

By default Word 2007 are set up for letter sized paper.But If you need to print into another different sized paper such A4,A5 etc.Its easy to change the paper size.

1.Open the Page Layout ribbon

2.Find the Page Layout section>click Size

expand menu

3.At the expand menu>select the paper size as you want

4.Select more Paper Sizes if you want to specify a different paper size

Put real time function in Microsoft Excel

By input “=now()” (without a quote) you can get realtime date and time in excel spreadsheet.The date and time that are used are taken from the computer’s system clock.The formats for Date, Time, and Special can be set to conform to different locales.

Select the cells you want to format.

1.On the Format menu, click Cells, and then click the Number tab.

2.In the Category box, click either Date, Time, or Special.

3.In the Locale (location) box, select a locale to see sample formats for that locale in the Type box.

4.Select the desired number format from the Type box.

5.Click OK.

These may update the date and time each time you open the workbook.

How to printing selected text

Sometimes I just wanted to print just a tiny section of a long file in my word file or excel spreadsheet. Using this tip I don’t end up using a lot of paper of pages I don’t need.

select text

1.Select the text you want to print.

2. On the File menu select Print

print option

3. In the dialog box that opens look in the Print Range section and check the Selection option

4. Click OK and the selected text are printed.
