Speed up Gmail loading in slow internet connections
If you are surfing via a slow connection like dial up or wireless wi-fi,Gmail would take a long time to load.The weak connection speed may occur Gmail to hang somehow.Here a few tips to load Gmail quickly in slow internet connections.
1.Reduce the number of conversations per page
By default Gmail displays 50 message per page.Reduce the number of messages to 25 via >Settings>General
2.Turn off keyboard shortcuts
Turning off the keyboard shortcuts so that Gmail will not check for keystrokes while you logging in.Go to Settings>General and check the button ‘Keyboard shortcuts off’
3.Use the older version
It is a basic html version interface that suit for slow internet connections.
4.Disable Web clips
Web clips shows news headlines,RSS,Atom feeds,blog and sponsored link.Disable this to save Gmail loading time.Go to Settings>web clips>uncheck ‘Show my web clips above the inbox’
5.Use mobile version of Gmail
This is minimalistic interface to read emails without chat,labels or ads.Its can accessible from http://m.gmail.com/.
